Community participation and contribution is strongly supported here at the Institute. Students volunteer to go to communities to conduct outreach activities weekly. This begins the first semester of year one, to provide health education, health check-ups and referrals for community members. The program is conducted under the supervision and guidance of our experienced health professionals. Upon return, students must report their fieldwork practices to their peers and lecturers. This program is only available at the Asia Institute of Science. The Institute offers free transportation and food for students and also supplies medicine for the program. This is a special program that has been added to the national curriculum designed by the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education Youth and Sports.
