Clinical simulation at the Institute

The clinical simulation at the Institute is highly essential for bridging classroom-based activities to actual clinical placement in health facilities and hospitals. The practical work begins from the first semester of year one. Students conduct their practices with simulated scenarios and mannequins. Students are divided into small groups to apply their skills in a simulation room with simulations, equipment and mannequins in nursing, midwifery and medical laboratories, under the instructions and guidance of experienced personnel.

Training materials and equipment

The Institute is equipped with modern materials and equipment for teaching and training. All classrooms are spacious and have a LCD projector, computers, air conditioners and fans. All practical rooms have adequate materials, mannequins and equipment for conducting nursing, midwifery, and medical laboratory practicum’s in accordance with the guidelines of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports.
