15 August, 2014, “Many children are drowning.” That’s the message of a campaign by the Ministry of Health and supported by the Asia Institute of Sciences and the Kampong Cham University, and disseminated through Hang Meas television channel airing every weekday morning and evening for one month.
Adults must watch out for children, especially in rural areas during the wet season, tempted to swim or bathe in floodwater. Of course, sings should be posted and thorn bushes planted near dangerous water, but most importantly adults need to talk to and look out for children.
The Asia Institute of Sciences and The Kampong Cham University are proud to sponsor important messages such as helping prevent children from drowning.
The broadcast times are Monday to Friday, 10:30-11:30 am and 7:00-8:00 pm.
